Land Rover Discovery Sport comes as a Premium Compact SUV

The Land Rover Discovery Sport bring the British the successor of the Freelander to Paris. At the motor show in the French capital (04 - 19 October), the automaker will introduce the island of his latest project, on which they had so attuned forward with the Discovery Vision Concept. The new one is not a classic SUVs more, but a "premium compact SUV", but still such a handsome Watt depth still has numerous off-road genes. Prices for the new Land Rover Discovery Sport start at 31,900 euros. The market launch in Germany is scheduled for February 28, 2015. The base version of the new premium compact SUV is equipped with the ED4-diesel. New are mainly the sportier look of the car, the optional front-wheel drive and seating system, which now allows 5 + 2 places. Interior is designed to offer high-quality materials instead of cheap plastic landscapes inmates now. A new infotainment system and a head-up display are also using it as a spacious boot which is to be loaded comfortable thanks to the low loading sill.

At the beginning of the Discovery Sport with a petrol engine and two diesel engines will be available. The base variant ED4 is later nachgeschoben, so that the first buyers first need to resort to more expensive units. As a single petrol engine will be the 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 240 hp (from € 43,350). When the diesels you will be able to choose a 2.2-liter turbo diesel in two power levels: the TD4 150 hp (from € 34,400) or the SD4 190 hp (from € 41,000).

With all engines operating should one be even more fuel-efficient on the go thanks to the standard start-stop system. All engines transmit their power through a nine-speed automatic either the front wheels or through the optional all-wheel drive and the "Active Drive Line" solution on all four tires. In the latter, the vehicle decides independently whether the force is transmitted to all four or only two wheels. Who switches rather manually, which can buy for the diesel drives a manual, revised six-speed transmission.
